September 27, 2010 To All RFSRC Members, We had an incident at the tennis courts where a large tree fell onto the fencing last Sat. morning. I would like to give a public THANKS to Shane Thomas for taking the initiative to go down and cut the tree up and for Greg Beers in helping him with hauling branches and logs off the courts. We are now faced with a mangled fence and poles which need to be repaired. Our biggest difficulty will be in re-stabilizing a vertical pole which is cemented into the court surface, this pole has been bent to the point that it can’t be used. I would like to reach out to the membership in an effort to get some assistance in making the repair to the fencing and poles. If anyone has any experience with fencing and/or just wants to help please contact Greg Beers by phone (678) 873-7865 or me by phone or email. Any time spent on repairs will go towards maintenance, either this year or next year. Thanks, Alisa Walsh |

To All Members, The general membership meeting of the Ridgeland Forest Swim and Racquet Club was held on Sunday evening, September 26. Board members gave a report of their work for the 2010 pool season. Following those reports, the membership considered proposed changes to the by-laws. After a brief discussion on each proposed change, ballots were cast and counted (including those ballots submitted earlier by e-mail). All three changes to the by-laws proposed by the board of directors were approved by a majority vote. The membership also elected new board members. Six positions were considered because there is a one year unexpired term. The six people elected will determine which one will serve the one-year term. The other five people will serve two years terms. The six members elected to the board are: Jack Dominey Rick Morse Alease Perry Brad Roselle Shane Thomas Rebecca Word Per the by-laws the board will elect its officers. The transitional meeting for both the 2010 and 2011 board is next Monday, October 4 at 7;00 p.m. at the pool pavilion. The membership also elected people to serve on the audit committee (Jim Brewer) and nominating committee (Lisa Newell). Next on the calendar is the Fall Festival on Saturday, October 23rd. Look for more information soon about all the good food and fun set for that day. Dave Kivett |

To All Members, We feel honored you have chosen RFSRC as your summer destination for fun this past season, and we hope you choose RFSRC again next year. In preparation for next season, we would like to inform you of our new process for renewing your membership and ask you to provide us some feedback on your experience this past summer. Renewing for 2011 We recognize that today’s families change…grow and shrink, emails and phone numbers change, etc. In an effort to better communicate with your family, keep up to date on the members of your family, and ensure members are up to date on the pool rules to ensure the safest environment for your family, you will be asked to complete a few simple forms -
These forms will be emailed to you in the spring along with your invoice, as well as be available on our website. Once you have completed the forms, mail them along with your payment and your membership will be renewed. Membership wrist bands will be distributed again over Memorial Day to all new and renewed members and their families. As with this year, members must sign in on their family page or be wearing their wrist bands. Members interested in a payment plan, should contact our treasurer at treasurer@ridgelandforest.com . A payment plan will be set up to ensure your membership dues are paid in full by May 15th as dictated by our by-laws. Member Feedback We want to hear from you on your experience at RFSRC this past season….what you liked, what you want to see improved, or what you’d like to see next season. Please take a few minutes to complete this short online survey. Feedback will be shared at our board meeting following Labor Day. All are encouraged to attend. Thank you for sharing this summer with us! RFSRC Board Members
